KANSAS CITY, Mo. 鈥� A firefighter was fatally stabbed by a patient while en route to Saint Luke鈥檚 Hospital in Kansas City early on Sunday morning, .

According to city officials, Firefighter-Paramedic Graham Hoffman, 29, was 鈥渃ritically injured鈥� when the patient he was transporting stabbed him during the transport.

Despite the efforts of first responders and medical teams at North Kanas City Hospital, Hoffman was pronounced dead from his injuries.
