AUSTIN, Texas — This past July, NHTSA released an analysis of ground ambulance crashes from 2012 to 2018. Compared to the first report that NHTSA released in 2014 which was a 20-year retrospective of crashes, unfortunately there has not been a remarkable improvement in mitigating ambulance crashes. The question has to be asked: why haven’t EMS aggressively addressed this risk?
