Halloween is more than just a night of costumes and candy 鈥� it鈥檚 also a time when first responders get a chance to connect with their communities in a fun and festive way. From spooky safety reminders to humorous costume posts, police, fire and EMS departments across the country have taken to social media to share the Halloween spirit.
Here are some posts that showcase how these departments are celebrating, engaging and reminding everyone to stay safe this Halloween.
To celebrate a baby boom among more than 30 officers, the Cobb County Police Department gathered a group of these officers and their little ones, all dressed in costumes to mark the spooky season.
The city of Blue Mound held a pumpkin carving contest, and the Blue Mound Police Department joined the fun with a creative entry: a pumpkin carved to showcase a mini police scene, complete with officers in uniform and cruisers stationed inside.
