HOLT, Mo. 鈥� A Missouri journalist sustained a minor injury after being hit by metal fragments during a campaign event in Holt, the reported.
A KSHB-TV reporter was grazed in the arm by flying metal debris on Oct. 22 while Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Lucas Kunce, a Marine veteran, was firing a rifle at outdoor targets. After receiving first aid from Kunce himself, the reporter resumed covering the event, according to the Associated Press.
The Kansas City-based television station reported that the journalist later sought treatment at a local hospital for a minor injury.
Kunce addressed the incident on X, formerly known as Twitter, saying, 鈥淲e had four first aid kits, so we were able to take care of the situation.鈥� He added that he was relieved the reporter was not seriously hurt.

Kunce is currently running to unseat Republican U.S. Senator Josh Hawley in the upcoming election.
