Another FDIC conference has come and gone. Did you make your way to Indianapolis to walk the halls of the convention center or Lucas Oil Stadium? If you were keeping the home fires burning (or, more accurately, if you were extinguishing the home fires), we鈥檝e got you covered.

Apparatus
As usual, fire and EMS apparatus were found at every turn and around every corner at FDIC 2025, both inside the convention center and outside Lucas Oil Stadium. We could have spent every minute of time in the exhibit hall pouring over the latest bells and whistles from each vendor. Pierce had a huge showing at FDIC, with more than 10 apparatus on site, including the Enforcer low-profile cab and the command apparatus featured in the walkaround video below:

For attendees with an emergency medical focus, Wheeled Coach Ambulance showcased several of their apparatus, including a 50th anniversary demo of the Type 1 Ford F-550, the Type 1 Chevy K5500 4x4, and a Type 1 Curbside Door Forward unit with a sliding side entry door.
This year marks 50 years of Spartan apparatus innovations, and the company highlighted several of their apparatus at FDIC 2025, including the S-180 Pumper Series, the Smeal Type 1 pumper, and a 100-foot platform, as well as the all-electric Vector.
This year, in addition to a display of the Crestline CCL 150 Type 1 ambulance, the company also offered a virtual reality tour of its expanded manufacturing operations.
Multiple apparatus were on display, including a KME Severe Service Pumper and a KME Tractor Drawn Aerial.
Gear
The FDIC 2025 exhibit hall was chock full of new gear products featuring safety advancements and tech-infused bells and whistles. What caught your eye at this year鈥檚 conference?
The G1 SCBA XR was on display at the MSA booth, which features 鈥渦pdates to the breathing air regulator, straps, lumbar pad, and fill pouches.鈥

Multiple new Identifire products were on display at FDIC 2025, including accountability and identification options for fire helmets, thermal imaging cameras and fire extinguishers. Watch the demo:
Amid several product displays and demos, one of the biggest draws to the Hex Armor booth was a sneak peek of their newest structural glove, launching later this year:
One of the signature products displayed at the Lion Fire Gear booth was the LION RedZone Particulate Blocking Turnout Gear, which was developed in partnership with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and North Carolina State University鈥檚 Textile Protection and Comfort Center.

Attendees watched live product demonstrations at the Harken Safety and Rescue booth, and received a sneak peek at the new Apex Pulleys on display, which will be available for purchase in June:
Attendees who stopped by the ZOLL tent were treated to several hands-on demonstrations at the new booth.
The CMC Pro booth featured their newest product innovation 鈥 SWIVO, 鈥渁 combination swivel, pulley, and oval carabiner that is NFPA T-Rated and compatible with devices that have wide attachment points.鈥 Check it out:
While attendees could see displays of Affordable Drill Towers鈥 Affordable Standpipe Prop and the Affordable Bailout Prop, the Standpipe Prop was also used in several demonstrations during FDIC 2025. Check it out:
At the Holmatro Rescue booth, attendees were able to see displays of several rescue tools, including the OmniShore, the Next-Gen Pentheon and the T1 Forcible Entry Tool.
Fire service attendees lined up to watch Bullard demonstrate their latest thermal imaging camera innovations outside Lucas Oil Stadium at Bullard鈥檚 TI Tailgate. Check it out:
