NEW YORK — An FDNY lieutenant who was arrested for allegedly strangling an EMT during a call on Feb. 17 has been suspended for four weeks without pay.
Neal Francis, of EngineCompany 234 in Brooklyn, was charged with strangulation after getting into an argument with the EMT on how to handle a call to assist an unconscious person, the reported.

The FDNY confirmed the suspension but did not provide any other information.
The New York Post determined that Francis’ base pay is $90,457 and the suspension without pay will cost at least $6,958.
